Beauty Mark Artistry was created by Leah Danielle as a place where anyone, regardless of race, sex, or age, can feel beautiful. Leah began doing makeup while attending school at the University of Alabama. She attended a makeup class that was held by MODA, a modeling troupe that she participated in on campus. Despite having a background in sports, Leah has continuously shown an interest in art. She always looked forward to the opportunity to take an art class and you could often find her doodling in her notebook during class. Leah realized makeup was just art on a human canvas and that ignited her passion. She loved how you can change how someone looks and even how they feel about themselves! She also fell in love with the reaction people had when they first saw their faces and the ability to make someone happy. Leah began taking clients out of her apartment and started her first makeup page UAGlam. She was only averaging a couple clients every few months but she was determined to work on her craft by practicing on herself and collaborating with local photographers. About a year later in 2018, Leah took the leap and began working out of Catch the Beats Makeup Studio and converted her makeup page UAGlam to Beauty Mark Artistry. While there, things really took off and now Leah has done close to 1,000 faces all over the southeast! Leah completed her degree in Business Marketing and graduated from UA in December 2020.
